Creating Speaker Mounting Templates
There are several ways to mount speakers to the front doors and rear shelf.
The plastic surround that the speakers sit in will need working on for certain size speakers to fit if you want to keep it there, unless you intend on fitting speakers larger than 170mm when you will need to build or purchase a new fitting pod for them.
Personally I wanted to keep the OEM speaker pods, and I know through experience that the OEM speakers werent exactly round in shape, so I chose 130mm speakers and created a template of the inner sitting area of the speaker, using thin maleable cardboard.
Once cut to size you will need some ply wood or MDF Board approx 3-5mm thick, place the template near one of the corners of the MDF and draw around it keeping as close to the template as possible.
JigSaw cutting: ALWAYS USE EYE & HAND PROTECTION, AND A GOOD WORK BENCH. YOU NEED TO BE CAREFULL WHENEVER YOU USE HIGH POWERED ELECTRICAL CUTTING DEVICES.
Tank Cutter: AS ABOVE
The cutter should be the same size as that of the speaker - I used a 130mm tank cutter for my 130mm speakers and are a flush fit.
Take measurements from 4 corners, and locate the center for the tank cutters pilot bit to drill into. When your ready drill away, gently let the tank cutter glide through the MDF, but either hold it down tight or clamp it to stop it spinning around and injuring / causing damage.
When you are ready, cut around the template, keeping on the lines you drew previously.
The base template should be a snug fit - you may need to sand it down in areas to achieve this.
Take a biro pen apart, and place the nib part down the screw holes to mark the template. Remove the template and then drill some pilot holes into each marked corner.
Screw the screws half way through the template holes, and then locate them into their respective holes on the OEM speaker pods, hopefully this will pull it all together snug and at the same time avoid gapping.
Now locate the speakers on to the template and mark the holes out on the board, remove the speaker and drill some pilot holes - if your confident you can use the self tapping screws usually provided with speaker kits, just be carefull not to slip and put either screw or screwdriver through the speaker!!
And now you can wire in the speakers, fix the speaker pods back in place, along with door cards etc.

If you cant be bothered to do all of this, email me for a price on a pre made fixing template. I will need to know what size speaker you want fitting, can go from 10cm - 13cm, with possibilities of a 17cm. Also send what speakers you intend on using so I can get a more accurate fitting measurement.
