Living with a Skyline

As with most Japanese cars, if you keep on top of the servicing and maintenance it requires then it will be a typically strong, reliable sports car.
Although service costs can be high sometimes, and is mainly the price of parts required.

Miles per gallon totally depends on how you drive, I have had 374 miles out of a full tank of fuel, including motorway driving as well as stopping and starting occasionally through built up areas. so around 35mpg as an all rounder. I will also point out that this was with the misfire problem, and with full exhaust system (JapSpeed), Air Filter (Apexi), FMIC (Driftworks) and more importantly, the OEM recirculating blow off valve.
This will obviously change if you modify the car further from the above, and you can also expect to see less mpg if you drive on the boost often.

Being in the motor trade for quite some years now, I've driven all sorts of vehicles, and out of all the performance ones I've driven, non of them quite match up to the Skyline.

Now the R33's are going quite cheap, from £2,500 upward, however the insurance can be the main money drain for younger drivers.
