The Driving "hates" of my life.
I can't categorise these as no.1, no.2 etc because so many fall into the same one, so here goes...
Your driving along in a N.S.P at 60mph, theres a side road approaching on the left, and there is a car sitting there, giving way, until "oh" they've decided to pull out on you. You adjust your roadspeed to around 40mph, and then they simply wont go any faster.
No1 Key point here - dont make some one slow down that much and then do a maximum of 40 mph. It is not clever and one day you could kill someone.
Another one is the "lets reverse out of the driveway and onto the main road" that cant always be seen clearly.
What does it specifically say about this manouvere in the Highway Code? TO NOT DO IT, SO DONT!!!
One for the motorway drivers here:
Just because there are 3 or 4 lanes doesnt mean you can use all of them in one go, undertaking as well as overtaking other vehicles. All it takes is a simple mistake by someone at 70mph and there could be a 25 car pile up within a matter of seconds.
If your pootling along at 70mph in the outside lane and there is more than one car behind you, they want to over take, and you should be using the inner left lanes as often as possible. If people want to do over the speed limit let them, if they get caught thats their bad luck, staying clear is better than trying to slow them down yourself.
4X4's Well ladies, now that you have yourself a tank, to take the kids to school in, when you all grid lock the roads where schools are - i bet your the first to moan about traffic and parking, arent you?
Now heres the thing, I may not be a totally good driver on the roads, i make errors of judgement from time to time because im human, but if i recognise that im doing something wrong, then i will change my driving accordingly.
