Audio Q&A.
Theres nothing worse than installing a system, and something not being "right". Hopefully this section will help solve these problems, where possible.
As a precautionary measure, always disconnect the battery negative terminal before carrying out any type of electrical work. Ensure you have any necesary radio codes at hand in case of system lock-out.
Q. Speakers cackle when played at mid or high volume - whats happened?
A. The most common error for this is down to the installer, more often than not it will be down to incorrect positive / negative wiring to the speaker connector.
Although another common cause is blown component speakers (aka tweeters, tweets), or the mid-range speakers (aka mids). The rubber around the edge can brake away, and the speaker wont be able to flex backward and forward to the music.
