More about the time I spent there talking to Dave from DSA (Aylesbury)
Well, as you do at the end of a run, I chatted with Dave, and he was saying that its impressive to see those figures, and that as a next step a boost controller should be fitted (electronic), and a large front mounted intercooler, as the temperatures are and will be a lot higher than before.
Interestingly enough, he also said that its possible to run up to 330HP*. Going beyond this requires forged pistons / uprated rings etc.
So, it would appear that a boost controller and FMIC are on the cards for definate. And then I shall dyno again
*Ive recently seen a 500Hp Skyline GTST with standard internals, and after asking on Skyline-owners-club.com, it would appear that yes this is possible but would require precise mapping and would last depending on how hard its pushed. |
