Fuel

When it comes to fuel, the U.K. is limited to 99Ron in most cases, other than Shells V Power.
What's Ron all about? Rated Octane Number is related to combustablitiy and flashpoint.
95Ron is not suited to Turbo applications, as the fuel gets ignited by the extremely high temperature within the combustion chamber, causing detonation; or pinking as its often referred to as it sounds as if its "pinking".

97Ron is a better choice if nothing else is available, however it may have the same issues as 95Ron with detonation problems.

99Ron I recommend myself, and have always used it in my vehicles

100Ron & 101Ron although its unlikely to become widely available in the U.K. would be the much better choice of fuel, as this is what they were originally designed to run on

However with all this said, when having your car tuned, you could have it remapped to run on any of the above fuels, and running higher pressure on the turbo (0.85Bar)

Fuel Additives - Can you put in 95Ron petrol, and then 2 liter bottles of octane booster, to take it up to 97Ron?
Unfortunately no, whereas these octane boosters do add a point to the octane, its a 0.1, which would take the fuel Ron to 95.1. So to acheive say, 101Ron, youd need 20 liters of octane booster, and 32 liters of 99Ron fuel - but even then there are no guarantees that it wouldnt do more harm than good, if you want it to go quicker that badly, tune it, or tune it some more, whichever the case is.

There are injector and fuel line cleaners avaiable such as De-Tox (which I recommend), Red-Ex (also very good), Wynns (which ive never used, for no particular reason). These are generally recommended use is every 10,000 Miles

Fluids

Brake Fluid: Dot 4 unless specified otherwise. Do not use Dot 5.1 "performance brake/clutch fluid" as it can cause the parts to wear out sooner due to its higher boiling point value - put simply, it will cook components within the clutch & braking system.

Clutch Fluid: Dot 4

Power Steering Fluid: Generally know exactly as that, and Dexron2. Its the same thing unless specified

Coolant/Antifreeze Mix: System holds approximately 5 litres, 6 with a larger raidator. Winter 50/50; normal climate 70/30. 8.5 litre standard

Engine additives: Every now and then its good to add a fuel treatment/ injector cleaner - Personally I use Forte fuel injector cleaner, RedEx is also good.
