Health and Safety
In fairness its common sense, but I feel the need to add this section for safety reasons.
-
If working underneath a vehicle, and the vehicle is raised, always use axle stands & chock the wheels with blocks.
-
When working with the vehicles electrical system, always disconnect the battery negative cable and press the brake pedal to elminate the remainder of any power left in the electrical system.
-
Always use the right tools for the job!
-
Always wear the correct personal protection - be it goggles if dealing with small projectiled parts or grinding sparks, ear muffs in loud environments, gloves where applicable (personally I always try to use them), breathing protection.
-
Always ensure you have the means to dispose correctly of oils, filters etc. - Contact your local Environmental Agency for details.
These are what I feel are the principles of Health & Safety - its common sense. If you have any questions then please contact me.
